About Us
At HissyFits Cattery, located in Indiana, we’re committed to raising healthy, well-socialized Sphynx kittens in a clean, attentive, and loving home environment. With a focus on ethical practices and hands-on care, we ensure each kitten is prepared for a smooth transition to their new family. Our cattery is built on trust, transparency, and a real love for the breed. Our journey began in 2005 with the adoption of our first Sphynx cat - and we’ve been in love ever since. What started as a personal adoration became something more in 2015, when we officially began breeding after years of research. Since then, HissyFits has grown into a trusted name for families looking for a unique, loving companion raised with care and experience.
Our First Love
Shyeesee

In 2005, we welcomed Shyeesee - a sweet rescue Sphynx who stole our hearts and never gave them back. She was more than our first cat, she was the reason HissyFits exists today. Her legacy lives on in every family who has adopted a HissyFits cat or kitten.

Care & Info
Sphynx cats are special - and their care reflects that. Unlike typical cats, Sphynx require specialized care to keep them healthy, clean, and comfortable.
Here’s what you should know before bringing your new forever bestie home:
Brief Overview
• Weekly baths are essential to keep skin clean and oil-free.
• Sphynx cats need warm, safe, indoor environments - no outdoor roaming.
• Use gentle, fragrance-free baby wipes between baths.
• Clean ears weekly to prevent wax buildup.
• Trim nails regularly - their skin can be delicate.
• Provide soft, warm bedding (they love heated blankets).
• Feed a high-quality diet to support skin and immune health.
• Sunscreen is NOT safe. Always avoid direct sun exposure.
